The LB tape is applied over muscles to lessen pain and reduce inflammation. Living Brand
taping is a taping technique that assist in the body’s own natural healing process. It gives
support & stability to a person’s joints and muscles without affecting or reducing circulation
& range of motion. Normal sports tape is used to support joints and rigid taping can restrict
movement and decrease blood supply to the area.
What benefits does LB s tape have?
- Lessens/Reduces pain.
- Enhances blood and lymphatic flow.
- Assists in return to normal muscle function.
- Improves proprioception and corrects joint malalignment.
Is it the tape or the technique that gives such great results?
Without a doubt, the technique is the key component. The taping method requires a tape that
is patient and skin-friendly, possesses optimum elastic qualities, is the same thickness as
the skin, and is durable enough to stay on for multiple days, even through sweating and showers.
How is the tape applied?
In general, the tape is applied from the ORIGIN to INSERTION of the muscle for SUPPORT
and from INSERTION to ORIGIN for REHAB. Certified instructors and practitioners are trained
to determine which specific techniques will be most effective for individual patients and injuries.
What are some suggestions for best taping results?
- Skin must be clean from all oils and lotions.
- Clean surface with only water and a cloth.
- Skin must be completely dry before taping.
- Removing unwanted hair is optional.
What is the difference between the colours?
There is no physical or chemical difference between the colours. The colours were developed to be
compatible with colour therapy, mostly used in the east. Colour choice is a matter of individual
preference. The colours can provide field advertising at athletic events, a conversational opener,
and instant product recognition. Living Brands are well known for their 4 colour scheme, Black,
Red, Green and White, but we have more than 16 colours available on request.
